Let me share a secret: producing social media content at an ocakbaşı — a traditional Turkish charcoal grill house — is harder than a fashion campaign. On a fashion set you build the light; at the grill, light, smoke, steam and fire all do as they please. The Fikret Ocakbaşı shoots were about turning that chaos into cinema.
The "Cinematic Ocakbaşı Experience" series was shot with exactly this philosophy: the rhythm of the fire, the usta's hands, the story of the smoke. Views past the million mark confirmed it — people don't want menu photos, they want the feeling of sitting at that table. Same language on the stills side: we didn't clean up the darkness, we used it. An ocakbaşı is a dim place; lighting it up would erase its identity.
At the grill you don't build the light — you negotiate with the fire.
This case also taught us: there's no such thing as a "difficult venue", only a venue whose character hasn't been decoded yet. Once it is, everything that looked like a flaw becomes a signature.
