The Guralp Dizdarer portrait series is a personal-branding project shot in collaboration with BTMSOCIAL. In the social media age, a portrait isn't an ID photo — it's strategy: it has to tell a person's digital storefront in a single glance.
The first question isn't photographic but strategic: what does this face promise its audience? For Guralp the answer was clear — trust and approachability in the same frame. We translated that with light: a soft but directional key (trust), fill reaching the eyes (approachability), breathing room in the background.
Collaborating with BTMSOCIAL solved the social media side from the start: frames were selected not for individual beauty but for feed coherence. Compositions that work in both vertical crop and landscape, negative space ready to become campaign visuals — the shot plan was written together with the agency's content calendar.
A portrait is not an ID photo but a strategy: the promise of the personal brand must read in one frame.
