The Narkotik Training Academy case has two layers for me: producing the brand's shoots, and working for a period as an instructor on their photo-film team. This project is both portfolio and CV — I taught at the institution I photographed.
The visual problem of education brands is familiar: either dry classroom photos or staged "success" frames. For Narkotik we chose the third way — showing training as action. The range, field drills, equipment details and instructor-student contact; all of it proves the institution's professionalism through evidence.
My time as an instructor on the photo-film team let me know this case from the inside: I knew what could enter the frame and what couldn't (safety and confidentiality), and which moment truly represented the institution. In corporate work, inside knowledge is worth more than the most expensive equipment.
The best person to photograph an institution is someone who knows it from the inside.
The selection on this page was compiled from three separate shoot archives with duplicates removed — this is the shareable cross-section, with the institution's permission.
